İtalya Palermo 2 Hafta ESC Gönüllü Hizmeti 21/12/2022 – 05/01/2023 EVS ESC European Solidarity Corps projesinde Avrupa Dayanışma Programı faaliyetinde bulunacak katılımcılar aranmaktadır!
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The project “Healthy Social Volunteering: ESC for active lifestyles, citizenship and social equity” wants to involve a group of volunteers into social activities aimed to encourage young people participation, and it will focus on social and economic integration, inclusion and healthy initiatives. Participants will support local volunteers and staffs of three homeless centers in Palermo. The activities will be implemented in small groups in shift, and these may include: maintenance of the spaces, also the garden, where the organisations operate, support to the canteen service and the afternoon activities aimed at homeless people; support to the Red Cross in the night activities, helping people who live in the street; welcoming homeless people to one of the accommodation facilities. ESC volunteers will implement these activities together with local volunteers, and in collaboration with the guests of the residential venues.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accommodation will be in a basic hostel located in the city centre, in three-bed or four-bed rooms with private bathroom. Breakfast will be served at the hostel. Meals will be provided by the hosting organizations.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
On arrival training; specific training lead by the hosting organizations.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Volunteers should be: interested in supporting organisations working with and for vulnerable people; interested in the topic of the project (social inclusion, integrations, community life, inequality); aged 18-30; ready to interact with people with different kinds of vulnerability and different social and economic background; willing to actively participate and be flexible in different kinds of activities, also manual work and/or at the night time; open-minded, sociable, empathetic.
