ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
“Lead the Way!” is a training that aims to empower youngsters with basic skills and knowledge to design, develop and realise short term volunteering projects from project idea to its realisation. The main objective is to give young people more active role in creation of projects and at the same time to contribute to improving quality of projects under the Erasmus+ and ESC. Through discussions, simulations, role playing and artistic expression participants will share experience and knowledge about leading a short term volunteering project and finally will have chance to lead a youth project during the summer in Spain or in their home country. • What is volunteering? • Presentations of the participants about their volunteering experinces • Environmental education in the volunteering projects • Logistics of a volunteering camp • Leadership, tasks and responsibilities • Youth projects for teens • Impacts of projects • Youthpass • Erasmus+ vs. ESC
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The accommodation will be done in the volunteer house in a small town in Alicante. The food will be prepared by the group in teams. The facilitators also will be in charge of the food and the general logistics.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Active volunteers who have participated in at least 1 volunteering project and/or a workcamp, leaders who have experience running at least one international workcamp and are motivated to develop their skills further in teenage education through volunteering.
