We are seeking a highly experienced Site Chief to lead our Lisbon, Portugal project, managing on-site teams to ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.
Job Description:
The Site Chief will oversee all on-site construction activities, focusing on finishing works, cost control, scheduling, and team management. This role ensures projects are executed according to approved plans, budget, and quality standards, while adhering to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, with a particular focus on finishing works (interior and exterior).
-Ensure timely identification of on-site problems and development of effective solutions.
-Prepare and verify quantity surveys, measurements, and cost estimates.
-Ensure strict cost control and budget compliance for assigned works.
-Support to develop and review detailed shop drawings, application details, and project designs.
-Plan, schedule, and monitor site production programs according to project timelines.
-Ensure construction activities meet quality standards, safety regulations, and deadlines.
-Identify and resolve on-site problems promptly with effective solutions.
-Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, management, and clients.
-Maintain discipline, meticulous attention to detail, and strong team collaboration on-site.
-Experienced in contract management, organizational coordination, and project representation.
-Knowledgeable and meticulous in Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management practices.
-Experienced in organizing and managing subcontractor companies and their work on-site.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture.
-Minimum 10 years of experience superstructure projects.
-Proven experience as a Site Chief or Finishing Works Supervisor on at least one large-scale project.
-Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
-Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
-No travel restrictions
-English is a must and knowledge of Portuguese is a strong advantage.
