Position: Field Service Engineer (Transformers)

Location: Stafford, UK based with UK-wide travel

Visa Sponsorship: Available for suitable candidates

Main Responsibilities

·        Install, erect and maintain power transformers and reactors up to 400 kV

·        Perform / assist transformer oil work (vacuum filling and processing)

·        Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics.

·        Maintain site documentation and ensure compliance with UK safety legislation.

·        Supervise site staff and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

·        Work closely with customers, providing professional and client-focused service

·        Support commissioning operations including fault diagnosis.

Required Qualifications & Skills

·        Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Associate Degree in Electrical from a Vocational School (MYO)

·        Proven experience in installation and commissioning of power transformers (at least 5 years).

·        Proficiency in English (at least B1 level)

·        Excellent report writing and communication skills.

·        Health and Safety awareness with a proactive approach to hazard control.

·        Ability to travel extensively in the UK and occasionally abroad.

·        Valid driving licence.

Desirable

·        Supervisory or project management experience.

·        Strong organizational and team management skills.
