Movin Up – EVS in Spain

9 months from 1 June 2019 until 1 March 2020 in Madrid, Spain


The project will last 9 months and wants to involve young people in activities of art-education which use art, specifically theater and music, as an educational tool for personal and community transformation.
The project will be developed in the city of Madrid and in the CENTRO DE ARTESANÍA DE LAS ARTES ESCÉNICAS, a multiethnic island in the heart of the city, located in Calle Ercilla, 48, a space which is dedicated to the holistic development of the person; a place of reference for the city.

The volunteer will participate in the associative activities that are focused on the use of art for the personal and community development. During the project, the volunteer will learn to strengthen skills, competences and soft skills that can use in their future work or volunteer contexts.
The indirect beneficiaries of the project will be the people from the local community and the international people who will participate in the activities that the association promotes, together with the communities of the SO, who will receive the reflection of the results of the projects as well as the proposals of the volunteers to return in their context of origin.
The Volunteer will receive training in art-education and project writing, will have access to the OLS platform, will carry out support activities for the host organization. Also will participate in the realization of: international meetings of pedagogy and community theater, activities open to vulnerable groups of all ages and health status, shows and performances on social issues to raise awareness of the neighborhood, a youth exchange and they will develop a personal project.”

Your motivation letter will be the document determining if you will continue on the second round of the selection process.
